Marketing & Legal Assistant - Chinese Speaking -internship-2 weeks

Alstern Solicitors is an SRA regulated law firm based in Canary Wharf, specialising in Immigration, Conveyancing and Corporate & Commercial. We are currently seeking a Chinese-speaking individual to join our small team as an intern for a period of two weeks.

This internship opportunity will provide valuable experience in the legal field and may consider to offers the potential for a full-time job upon successful completion.

Responsibilities:

· Assisting Solicitors in the immigration and conveyancing matters

· Opening client’s files and complying with the file opening procedures

· Drafting legal correspondence and letters to clients, home office and court

· Facilitating legal research to monitor legal changes to support the firm marketing activities (legal articles writing on website/social media platform)

· Filling applications and submitting documents to the Home Office under Solicitors’ instruction

· Administrative support to other team members

· Planning marketing strategies and help the firm getting into Chinese market

Key requirements

· Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

· Proficiency in English/Chinese

· Creative thinking and willing to take ownership of a broad range of tasks, identifying innovative solution when needed.

· Confident and professional manner: approachable and able to interact well at all levels.

· Willing to assist the team and undertaking tasks that may be outside the role.

· Team player with good communication skills and able to play an attention to details.

· Strong organisation, able to plan and prioritise effectively to meet demanding deadlines.

· Experience in working immigration or conveyancing law firm (Preferable)

Location:Alstern Solicitors, 30 Churchill place, London, E14 5RE

Type of contract: Part time (3 days a week)

Working hours: 9am – 5pm (1 hour lunch break)

Salary: Starting (Range from £18,000 to £20,000)- review quarterly
