Our Industrial Placement Programme gives you the opportunity to apply your skills and accelerate your learning from day one. As a Placement Year Student, you will be exposed to a diverse range of projects across the business and work alongside technical experts, learning new skills and gaining new experiences. Technical experience is key in our sector, which is why we will provide you with the experience you require to finalise your studies and kick start your career. You’ll benefit from on-the-job training, mentoring, as well as the assistance you need to develop and succeed.

Cost Consulting – As a cost consultant you can work in any of our sectors and you will work across cost, commercial and transformational consultancy projects. At its core, Cost Consultancy involves estimating and advising on the cost of construction works, and your role will be key in providing advice on project finances and contractual relationships. Working in a fast-moving industry means an interest in digital transformation is key.

• Accepted degrees: BSc Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Real Estate, Planning, Environment & Development, Construction & Project Management or Planning & Development

Qualifications & Experience:

• Studying towards a related degree

• You will enjoy working in a team environment and have the confidence to work under pressure

• You will be innovative & creative

• Resilient and able to deal with ambiguity

• Be a strategic and analytical thinker

• Excellent communication skills, and technical knowledge appropriate for the area you are applying to

• Relevant work experience through internships would be advantageous

• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
