Teaching grades SP 23 £24,137.00 – SP 35 £34,421.00 (depending on experience) + a £5,000 market force payment.

The Engineering Department offers a diverse curriculum, from practical mechanical engineering skills-based programmes to programmes designed to support learners into Higher Education or Degree Apprenticeships. The department boasts excellent facilities and has ambitious growth targets to help fill the skills shortages in the region and tap into the talent within the City.

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated person to join our highly-dedicated team as a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer. This role primarily involves working with Level 1 and 2 learners who are being trained in the practical skills and underpinning knowledge to fill significant skills shortages in the manufacturing engineering sector. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a related subject. They will also hold, or be prepared to work towards, a level 5 teaching qualification.
