An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our gardening team at Fairmont, St. Andrews!

We are looking for a full-time, permanent gardener to join the team and assist in ensuring the hotel grounds, gardens and outside public areas are kept neat and tidy fitting of a five-star resort.

Previous horticultural experience preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities and preferred requirements:

• Operate mowing equipment and other light equipment
• Prune and maintain trees and shrubs as required
• Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis and ensure all equipment is clean and in safe working order
• Report equipment problems or failures immediately
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety policies
• Pick litter, weeding, Grass cutting, edging and general grounds upkeep.
• Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• Familiar with grass cutting and horticultural equipment preferred
• Good knowledge of modern grounds and horticultural practises on both soft and hard landscape areas preferred

Your team and working environment:

• Working as part of a team, however the job does require an element of lone working.
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
