Would you like to help history to come alive?

As a Visitor Experience Assistance you’ll get involved in all aspects of museum life. From welcoming visitors, selling tickets, to driving retail sales, you’ll be a main point of contact for our visitors and will help make their experience one to remember. You will work with us to deliver our summer programme, including re-enactment events, art, and crafts and much more. You will have the opportunity to learn how we care for the collection in the museum and be involved with exciting projects that help us to engage our visitors with Winchester’s history.

A bit about you

You’ll be a people person and will enjoy meeting new customers every day, understanding and valuing exceptional customer service. You’ll be a great communicator and will love putting your excellent people skills to use to make every visitor feel valued and welcome. A supportive team player, you’re always willing to jump in and lend a hand, but you’ll also be happy to work on your own initiative when necessary.
