Preschool Teacher

Holy Spirit Preschool is dedicated to developing the whole child by providing a quality Catholic education in a safe and caring environment in which children can grow and develop at their own pace, develop a positive self-image and a sense of responsibility and independence. Each child is seen as unique with individual and particular interest, strengths, and needs. Through our curriculum and guidance, we hope to build a strong foundation for each child's future.

We are looking for a teacher to join our team and complement our program. Our school is open year round and salary will be based on experience and education.

Scope of Work: To lead a classroom and to implement a caring, educational program for children ages 3-5yrs.

MINIMUM Qualifications:

· Experience working in a preschool environment

· 12 core units of ECE

· At least 1 Years Experience in Teacher Role

· Must have Pediatric CPR/First Aid (EMSA Approved) certification or willing to get certified

· Punctual and highly motivated

· Ability to demonstrate good judgment and management of crisis situations.

· Fingerprints clearance through Department of Justice for Child Abuse Index Check, Criminal Record Statement, and Oakland Diocese.

· Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language fluently.

· Ability to relate to children and adults in a positive, respectful manner.

· Ability to lift and/or carry children up to 60 pounds.

· Ability to work with a staff of varying educational and experiential backgrounds with sensitive leadership, maturity, and stability.

· Able to handle direction well.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
