At CENTRIC we currently have a vacancy for a Research Fellow focused on cybercrime to lead our contribution to the H2020 CYCLOPES project which supports law enforcement agencies (LEAs) across Europe to fight cybercrime and to conduct research across a number of large scale security sensitive projects and initiatives focused cybercrime and the application of technology to security.
You will play a key role in the successful of delivery of CYCLOPES and support a number of projects within CENTRIC. You will have the opportunity to develop your research expertise in a wide range of areas within the security domain with a keen focus on how technology can be applied in these areas. You will develop strong links with universities, law enforcement agencies, NGOs and industry, and have the opportunity to work closely with researchers and practitioners with a wide range of backgrounds and expertise.
Your role will involve being responsible for the development and enhancement of CENTRIC expertise in cybercrime, deliver regular foresight reports into the technical and investigative needs of LEAs, and develop training for police and judiciary in the analysis and interpretation of cyber threat data. You will establish a mechanism for monitoring innovation in this area matching LEAs needs with current academic and commercial research.
The University may be able to sponsor the employment of international applicants in this role; this will depend on a number of factors specific to the individual applicant. Please note that the role will involve regular travel across Europe, therefore the applicant must have the right to travel within the UK and EU.
